  1. The fulfillment of one’s dreams is what drives most of our fellow countryman to leave home and family to endure pain and sadness working in strange and unfamiliar place. They paid a high price just to fulfill these so-called Philippine dreams: bigger, fully furnished house, flashy car, and other earthly possessions money can buy-things that cannot be other wised bought or built by not leaving and working abroad.

Much worse, he’s not been there to see his daughter grew up each step of the way from preschool to her college days-what a painful price to pay for this so-called Philippine dreams.

There are lots of similar stories like this one-stories that are heart-wrenching to say the least. Of course there are also happy endings and successful ones, although they are few and far in between.
